FAQ
Frequently asked questions
The questions we hear most in the chat, answered. Can't find yours? Send us a message or ask us live. We love a good glass question.
Where can I buy from TNT Vintage Finds?
Mostly live on Whatnot, where we're @tntvintagefinds. Hit follow and Whatnot will ping you when we go live, then come hang out. Can't make a show? We also list some pieces in our eBay store at a set price, so you can buy any time.
How does a live show work?
Each piece sells as a quick auction or at a set buy-it-now price, right on camera. Tina holds it up, turns it around and tells you what it is and what shape it's in, while Tom keeps the chat lively. Ask for a closer look, a measurement or the UV light any time. That's half the fun of live. New to Whatnot? Our guide on how to buy vintage glass on Whatnot walks you through your first show.
How do you pack glass?
Every piece gets wrapped on its own and padded in the box so it can't shift around. We pack it like it's ours, because we're glass people too, and our Whatnot reviewers bring up the packing a lot. Fair warning: you might need scissors and a little patience to get in.
How fast do you ship?
Fast. Our average ship time on Whatnot is about one day from purchase to drop-off (as of November 2026). How long it takes to reach you after that depends on the carrier.
Do you point out chips and flea bites?
Yes, every time. Vintage glass has usually lived a life before it gets to us, so we look it over before it goes on camera and call out what we find: flea bites (those tiny nicks on a rim), chips, cracks, scratches, cloudiness and wear on Pyrex patterns. If you want a better look at a rim, base or seam, just ask and Tina will bring it in close.
Do you test uranium glass?
Yes, every time, live on camera, under a UV light. It's our favorite part of the show. That green glow tells you there's uranium in the glass. It doesn't tell you how old a piece is, because newer uranium glass glows too, so we tell you what we know about a piece separately from the glow.
Is uranium glass safe?
For display, the regulators and health physicists we've read describe the radiation from intact uranium glass as very low. For food and drink, the EPA advises against it, so we keep ours on the shelf and sell it as display glass. We're glass people, not radiation experts, so our guide "Is uranium glass safe?" quotes the NRC, EPA and ORAU directly.
How can I tell if my glass is uranium glass?
Shine a 365nm UV flashlight on it in a dark room. Uranium glass glows a bright, even neon green from inside the glass, and the glow stops the moment the light goes off. Daylight color isn't proof, and cheap 395nm lights can make ordinary glass look greenish.
What do you sell?
Vintage and collectible glass: uranium and Vaseline glass, Fenton, Blenko, Murano and Italian art glass, vintage Pyrex, hen on nest dishes, salt & pepper shakers, and the weird, wonderful, hard-to-find stuff that turns up on every hunt. (Yes, that includes the occasional glass snake.)
What does TNT stand for?
Us! TNT stands for Tina & Tom, the two people behind every show. Tina brings the glass, Tom brings the jokes, and the "Vintage Finds" part is everything we dig up on the hunt.
Can I request something specific?
Absolutely. Message us on Whatnot or Instagram with what you're hunting for (a maker, a pattern, a color or that one holy-grail piece you've been chasing for years) and we'll keep an eye out on every hunt.
Is Whatnot safe to buy on?
Whatnot is a large live-shopping marketplace, and you pay through the app, not to us directly. Whatnot's help center explains how buying, payments and buyer support work. If you have a question about one of our pieces, message us and we'll answer it.
Do you buy collections?
We're always on the hunt, so we're happy to look. If you have a glass collection or some estate pieces you're thinking about selling, send us a message on Whatnot or Instagram with a few photos.
