The hunt
Ask any collector and they'll tell you the hunt is half the fun. For us it might be more than half. We go looking for vintage and collectible glass, with soft spots for uranium, Fenton, Blenko, Murano and Pyrex, plus anything weird, wonderful or hard to find that we just can't leave behind.
Who you'll see
If you pop into a show, it's Tina on camera about 99% of the time. Tom (Tommy, on Whatnot) is there too, mostly in the chat as @tg3493. The split works like this:
"Tom brings the jokes. Tina brings the glass."
What happens to a piece
Before anything goes live, we look it over for chips, flea bites, cracks and wear. On camera, Tina shows it up close and tells you what she found. Anything that might be uranium glass goes under the UV light so you can see the glow for yourself. And if we don't know something about a piece, we'll say so.
After the show, every piece is wrapped on its own and padded for the trip. Our average ship time on Whatnot is about 1 day, and our reviewers bring up the packing a lot. We take that as the best compliment there is.
Why we love it
Every piece of vintage glass was made, used and loved by somebody before us. Finding it a new home with a collector who'll appreciate it, instead of letting it get tossed, never gets old. Neither does hearing someone in the chat say they've been looking for that exact piece for years.
